The International Summer School on Geospatial Data Science with R is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and will take place at the GIScience department of Jena (Germany) from 25 August to 1. September 2019.
This summer school is open to students, PhD students and Postdocs, and it will use lectures and tutorials to teach advanced geospatial techniques for analyzing and predicting global change phenomena.
This course will exclusively use open-source software (R, Python, GDAL, QGIS, etc.).

- a flat-rate allowance of 250 Euros
- a country-dependent travel stipend amounting to at least 200 Euros
